Aramid fiber is braided and then is impregnated and stiffened with resin. It is used as reinforcement and also as tension cables of concrete structures.
Lightweight, non-magnetism, non-conductivity and non-corrosive are its features.

APPLICATIONS OF FiBRA RODS & CABLES
  • Prestressed concrete structures (bridge, floor slab, sleeper)
  • Marine structures (floating bridge, wharf)
  • Advanced buildings (NMR facility, computer room)

  • Non-magnetism

    FiBRA rods for NMR facilities.
    (NMR:Nuclear Magnetic Resonance)

    Non-conductivity

FiBRA rods were adopted in foundation of a building for super computer to avoid attack of lightning.

    Non-conductivity

FiBRA rods were used in foundation of steel structure at 154kV substation, JAEA TOKAI.
